Dr. Frances specializes in pediatric operative and nonoperative musculoskeletal care. Conditions we treat include pediatric fracture care, lower extremity deformity, blount’s disease, perthes, scoliosis, benign bone and soft tissue tumors, hip dysplasia, torticollis, clubfoot, sports injuries and other pediatric orthopedic problems.
In addition, we are seeing adult patients in need of general orthopedic care, with attention to focusing on treatment plans and education to optimize your chances for improvement with nonoperative options when possible. Should you instead have a complex problem that would need treatment by a sub specialist (hand, shoulder, arthroplasty, spine surgeon, trauma surgeon, sport or foot and ankle surgeon) we will help diagnose and refer you for additional care if needed.
Dr. Frances completed her fellowship in Pediatric Orthopedics at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2009. She did her Orthopedic Surgical Residency at Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, New York. She has also worked as a guest surgeon at Karolinska Hospital in Stockholm, Sweden for a short period of three months in 2008, returning to her country of origin.
